Fittings with the JIC index are usually found on American-made machinery. JIC stands for Joint Industrial Committee. JIC – is an American standard of fittings for VFD, has an inch cylindrical thread UNF and an internal taper 74°. JIC fittings meet the requirements of SAE J514, ISO 8434-2 standards. Recently, this type has been widely used in Europe.
The distinctive feature of these fittings for RVD is the possibility of using them to connect flexible and rigid pipelines.
To make a connection between a high-pressure hose and a hydraulic pipe, you must first roll out the pipe to a cone of 74°, installing a sleeve and a nut on the end. Thanks to this simple operation, you can assemble a pipeline with JIC couplings of any configuration.
