CS fittings
In 2008, Tieffe presented for the first time a series of crimp sleeves for «heavy» hoses called CS. The CS series of fittings was designed to complement or replace the Interlock series of fittings.
The difference between the CS Series and the Interlock Series is that the inner and outer layers of the hose rubber do not have to be stripped when manufacturing hoses using the CS Series. The absence of the procedure of removing the rubber layers significantly simplifies the production process. The time spent on the production of one high-pressure hose is reduced and no special debarking equipment is required.
The company was prompted to develop the new series by operating organizations that began to complain about oil leaking from under the coupling at high and extra high pressures, usually heavy machines.
A cut analysis of a high-pressure hose assembly with an Interlock fitting showed some of the shortcomings of this design. An alternative has been proposed and has been successfully used around the world.
Rubberless Fittings
The Tieffe Company has developed a coupling and fitting design that does not require the removal of layers of rubber. The teeth of the coupling and fitting push through the rubber, making contact with the metal coil, leaving the rubber to fill the voids.
In practical tests, the CS series fittings withstood loads far greater than Interlock fittings.
We offer CS fittings for a wide range of applications. In the CS fittings section you will find BSP, JIC, ORFS and flanges.
