Banjo Fittings

Banjo fittings are used in applications where it is important to maintain mobility of the hydraulic connection. You will need a fitting, a bolt and an O-ring to make the connection. The Banjo fitting is attached to the system with a special bolt called the Banjo Bolt, and an O-ring is installed between the fitting and the bolt to provide a seal. The Banjo Bolt is used to regulate the flow of fluid that passes within the connection. Banjo Bolt is also referred to as a banjo swivel connection.

Types of Connections

Banjo fittings as well as Banjo Bolts come in metric and inch BSP threads. Metric Banjo have threads from 12x1.5-30x1.5, while inch threads are available in a range of threads from 1/8 to 1''. The Banjo's presented are in accordance with DIN 7642.

As a rule, Banjo – are screw-in connections, this type is also found in pipe connections. It is used in places where it is important to make a compact connection with a change of direction function when laying a hydraulic system.
